This is a series of short stories in comic form, about a variety of alienated people, drawn in a spare, sketch-like style with slightly scary looking human forms.

There is a haunting emotional quality to these stories. I am still learning how to read serious comics, taking in the illustrations with the words, and these stories require both. I appreciate how much depth the author accomplishes by having the "objectiveness" of the pictures support (or more frequently, belie) the spoken words. Compelling.
