Practice Gratitude is a great journal. Although you don't need to get The Best of No Small Thing to go with this, I highly recommend it, as it will allow you to go even further in depth on your gratitude journey to inner peace. There are spaces to answer questions, inspirational quotes, and intros to each section. I highly recommend this if you're looking for the peace and confidence that comes from deep within.

Best of No Small Thing is not what I expected (in a good way). I have to admit, I was intrigued by the idea of a series of blog posts compiled into a book. I wasn't sure what it would end up like, or if I would like it. So I approached this with more than a little caution. I was worried it would feel a bit disjointed, and more like a random collection of articles than a coherent book, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this wasn't the case at all. It's more of a peek into Hawkins's life, and the journey to finding peace. It's relatable and more like having a conversation than being talked at. I really do recommend it!… (mais)

I quite liked this book. Although the characters are not so profound and developed, and the story and its twists are somehow unbelievable, the story was quite suspense and I liked the author's style of writing. It's an easy read for those who believe in unbelievable.

REVIEW: “Bad luck that we ran into some bad guys, and they took us out before we could take them out. Happens in this business.” Neither Jeff nor Chris expected to lose everything. Everything except beautiful, gentle Beth. Neither could claim her the way they wanted. Jeff is fighting to clear his name and win a huge settlement for Beth and Chris. The legal battles are convoluted and the behind the scene manipulations will lead you on a thrilling, page-turning race. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: On the day that Jeff Ryder learns he is going to be made a partner at Warrick, Thompson, and Hayes, his past catches up with him. The State Bar of California accuses him of coaching witness Marty Lewis to lie seven years earlier while he was working as a prosecutor in order to convict small-time con man, Dillon Reese, of the attempted murder of police officer Christopher Rafferty, a former Navy SEAL.

Jeff loses his million-dollar lifestyle, but sets up his own law office, determined to clear his name, by proving Reese is the shooter. Jeff discovers that Chris was wearing defective body armor made by Armor Up Corporation on the night he was shot. Jeff persuades Chris and his wife Beth to bring a negligence suit against Armor Up and the San Diego Police Department for millions in damages. Jeff forms a deep friendship with Chris, but that friendship is challenged with Jeff falls in love with Beth.

On the eve of proving that he never coached Lewis to lie, Jeff is arrested for a double murder. If he uses his alibi, Chris and Beth will be destroyed.
