This story is about a young girl name Carolyn who is blind. She talks about her disability and how she gets around the world like other people, but in her own unique way. The story shows obstacles that individuals who are blind face every single day, but it also shows the ways that these people get through every day. It also talks about things like guide dogs, braille, and how she relies on the 4 senses she has to compensate for the one she is missing. The illustrations do a great job of depicting how life is for someone who is blind, and what they go through on a day to day basis. They are very colorful and go with the theme of being positive even though shes going through a rough time. This book is an amazing way to show or normalize certain disabilities such as blindness, to children who may have not seen someone with a disability before.
