Thomas Cash Riley (TC) finds himself face to face with the powers that be when he dies in an automobile accident before he turns thirty. Thomas is given an opportunity to redeem himself by coming back to earth as a cat. His task is to help Katherine (Kat) and Daniel fall in love. Add two children, another man reincarnated as a squirrel, a great plot, good writing an interesting back story, and chemistry…it became a fun read hard to put down. I am eager to find out what TC’s next undertaking will be because this story deserves a sequel and perhaps a series.… (mais)

THE BEAST WITHIN by Elysa Hendricks is a good short story. Amy is in a difficult situation. She is desperate to live but knows her death in imminent. When she has the opportunity to live she has to make a quick decision. Which is better—knowing what will happen or choosing the unknown? I liked Amy and her dilemma. I wondered what she could choose. I do not know which I would choose but it made me think about my choices.… (mais)

In a unique twist in this fantasy romance, the author is visited by his character that has a clearly defined direction for her own destiny, which is far divergent from the one her author has created. In a fun play on the quote “the pen is mightier than the sword”, this book finds a new way to present imagination, fantasy, destiny and romance with a peek into a writer’s head , while giving the reader the option to decide just what is the reality in the story. And, it answers the question about what happens when the author decides a series, or a character has run its course?

With a smooth style, humorous passages and a nice mix of ancient and modern, Elysa Hendricks has created a world that is engrossing, engaging and ultimately entertaining and sure to please fans of fantasy and romance equally.
