When you have a book like Little Fires Everywhere: A Novel by Celeste Ng you can probably count it being read by book clubs everywhere. The book itself explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, and the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger of believing that following the rules can avert disaster. And with topics like these there will be quite a lot of disagreement amongst its readers, especially in book clubs.
As for the book itself, Little Fires Everywhere explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, and the ferocious pull of motherhood – and the danger of believing that following the rules can avert disaster.

The book has already been named a Best Book of the Year by:
People, The Washington Post, Bustle, Esquire, Southern Living, The Daily Beast, GQ, Entertainment Weekly, NPR, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Audible, Goodreads, Library Reads, Book of the Month, Paste, Kirkus Reviews, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and many more!

In order to come away with a far better understanding and appreciate for Celeste Ng’s book, one would need some sort of guide to get through the complexity it exists within its pages. Just like the CliffNotes I used to help me get through my high school English classes, I feel this book can do basically the same thing. While I used CliffNotes instead of reading an entire book, like Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens; this book can be used as a perfect companion to the actual book, as it gives a chapter by chapter overview and analysis of the book; along with some background information regarding both the book and its author. For wanting to enhance the reading experience for those who have to read the actual book, or who are currently reading it; this book might also be to entice readers after reading this summary of 52 pages to buy the actual book consisting of 347 pages, I’ve given this book 5 STARS.

Whisper Network: A Novel by Chandler Baker so far [10/12/190] has received an average of 3.9 STARS based on 172 reviews.

If you’ve ever worked in a large office you know there’s a lot of office politicking which goes on each and every day. In addition to this, if you’re a woman you also know there’s a lot of gossiping [whispering] which goes on as well, especially when there’s a promotion afoot. Of course, this goes on when one of their own gets one, and everyone quietly talks about what did she do to have gotten it; especially if she’s relatively new there.

And if you a woman, like any of the four protagonists in the story, you might have had a relationship with your boss and have scores to tell others of how he treats you. So, when the antagonist in the story, Ames, makes an inappropriate move on another colleague, and knowing he’s in line to fill the shoes of the CEO who has suddenly died, the four protagonists won’t let it go unnoticed.

Naturally, once these individuals begin to take a stand, a domino effect occurs and there’s a devastating change in the office as lies and secrets will get revealed, causing some not to be able to survive its results, and everyone else’s life to become dramatically changed.

In get through Chandler Baker’s book with a complete understanding and appreciation, one would need some sort of guide to get through the complexity it exists within its pages.
