Poor Silas! All of his dreams fell apart with a fire right at the beginning of the book. It caused a lot of scarring and physical problems as well as emotional challenges after being abandoned by those he thought cared about him. Asher is an up and coming musician who rents out the studio Silas works at. The two guys form a friendship as they get to know each other, eventually leading to more. I liked Silas' friend Miranda. She was sassy, honest with no sugar coating, and a true friend. She told him exactly what she thought, but also stuck by him during the worst time of his life.

This is a short story, so there is definitely room for expansion (which I happily read at the end is the plan for these two). This is good and hopefully there will more explanation to some things that were left hanging up or unexplained in the book (especially Asher's history). I will be looking forward to the next book and will definitely read it.… (mais)
