This is a fantastic book for anyone interested in T.E. Lawrence, or who have seen the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" and want to know more, or just interested in history, or basically anyone who likes to read a great book. This book is a day by day description of Lawrence's activities from September 18, 1914 through October 4, 1918. It draws from many sources such as Lawrence's field notes, his pocket diaries, letters to or from him, official documents, documents from other participants such as books, diaries, letters, and of course Lawrence's book "Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Each entry shows its source. The amount of work that was done to compile this information is remarkable. I have read at least 20 books about Lawrence and am so thankful for this one of a kind book. It very clearly shows Lawrence's experiences those two years and the effect it had on him. I highly recommend this book.… (mais)
