Marjorie G. Jones spent 25 years working in banking and executive recruitment.  In 1990 she returned to school and earned an M.A. in Historical Studies at the Graduate Faculty of the New School in New York City, where she wrote her thesis about the early unpublished writings of Frances A. Yates.  Since then, she has taught history at The New School and Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY as well as at Sing Sing prison in Ossining, NY. "Frances Yates and the Hermetic Tradition" is her first book.
