MINUTE WONDERS OF THE WORLD, published in 1933, is 160 pages of temples, natural formations, and unusual places. Each page is a different place, and each has accompanying pen and ink illustrations.
Back 50 years ago, before internet service where you can find a photo of just about anything with just a few clicks, these places would have seemed very exotic. It still intrigues, as some of these locations have been surpassed by bigger, more record-breaking items (the Golden Gate Bridge wasn’t in existence!).
This is a fun book to browse through. It led me to look up many things on the internet just to see what these places look like now.
