Yosef Kaplan is Bernard Cherrick Emeritus Professor of Jewish History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He has written many studies on Iberian Jewry in the late Middle Ages, the Iberian Conversos, the Sephardi diaspora, and the early Enlightenment in Jewish society.
