A Kebab Kitchen Mystery Series is one of my favorite series. I love the characters in it. The wonderful food that I can practically smell while reading about it, the family, the friends. *sigh* It all comes together so beautifully. When I read the books in this series it feels like I am there. Tina Kashian never fails to transport me away from my troubles. This series is like comfort food except in book form.
Mistletoe, Moussaka and Murder was just what I needed to read. This year has been a rocky one for everyone. I had been having a struggle with concentration. I switched to darker reading to match my feelings. Then I was gifted an ecopy of this book for review consideration. I didn’t even know how much I needed old friends, wedding talk, a Christmas party and a murder. Reading this book, being transported far away, truly lifted my soul. I was so happy to see Lucy examine her feelings and accept them. It was delightful when she spoke to her mom about her plans. I laughed out loud picturing it. I swear, that was my favorite scene in the book! The dead body? Yes, there is one. Wait until you read about that! I won’t talk much about it as you really need to figure it out yourself. There are a number of potential murderers. The reveal was a heart pounder for sure. I am already anticipating the next book. Will there be a wedding soon? If Katie and Lucy’s Mom have anything to say about it the answer is most definitely! Give yourself a gift and get a copy of this book. We can all use some Christmas spirit now.

Edited to add: *I received an ecopy of this book for review consideration. Thank you to Kensington Publishers, NetGalley and the Author for this opportunity. I voluntarily reviewed this book and all opinions are based on my enjoyment of the book.*

I enjoyed the first book in one of my favorite series. I totally went at this series backward. But aside from knowing that one of the suspects was in the clear, (they show up in other books), you can read this out of order. I love the characters and the setting in this series. The mystery in this one was well done. I didn’t see it coming. There are three tasty recipes included. One, of course, was for non-deadly, delicious hummus.

This is the third book in the series but my first. I was able to keep up with the mystery. I did wish that I had read the others books, though, for the relationships.
I was drawn to the book by the fun cover. Reading a book set on the boardwalk was as fun as I imagined. It was cold and a bit snowy where I lived so the summertime reminder was especially sweet. I live in a tourist town so relating was easy. I liked Lucy and Katie, as well as the other characters. Madame Vega was a super interesting character to me. Who doesn’t enjoy getting their fortune told? I enjoyed the way the author weaved the characters together. I knew I was behind on some relationships and characters but I was able to quickly catch on. I liked that part. I thought the author did well writing characters that were clear as well as some who were questionable. There is a romance in the works with the current possible interest not in law enforcement.
I don’t want to go into the mystery because I hate spoilers and even innocent things have the potential to ruin the fun for some. I was kept guessing until the reveal. There were plenty of suspects; some I liked and some I was hoping it was them instead of one I liked.
There are recipes at the end of the story. I usually try to make a couple before writing up a review but I was sick while reading this. For a few days it was up to the guy who thinks a meal is complete if it has meat and bread. He knows, though, that I want soups when I’m sick so he attempted to make Azad’s Lentil Soup. It was a success so you know that one of the recipes is easy peasey and delicious.
My illness did include an eye infection which forced me to put aside the book about halfway through. This almost killed me. I was enjoying it so much that I kept trying to push it.
I really enjoyed reading One Feta In The Grave. I won an advanced reader copy so it is possible there may be minor changes when the book is released. I would definitely suggest, if you like cozies, put this one on your TBR. I believe it is scheduled for a February release. Perfect time to enjoy some book sunshine.

A fun new-to-me cozy series. I enjoyed the characters and the setting. Kashian builds the world of the Jersey shore area beautifully. The cast of characters are fun as well as caring. Almost everyone was likeable, even the characters you weren't supposed to like. I enjoyed the ride to the end of the story and find myself rooting for Lucy and her family. I'm off to read book 2 in the series.
