written in the 1970's.. librarians and library students collaborate to create this book full of criticisms about the state of librarianship and resistance of the system.
A set-your-hair-on-fire classic challenging "WLS", AKA the wimpy librarian syndrome. Rousing essays designed to shake up the status quo from the inside. Give it a 7 on the richter scale.
This book was very important to me at one time. I first stumbled upon it at the Douglass College Library, where I worked as a shelver. Revolting Librarians made me believe I could make a difference as a librarian, and I still think that's true.
This is really a fun read both for a look at what was going on in libraries at this time and for the bohemian in me at the hippie movement (or so i like to think).
