This book is focused on introducing caces to the beginer, especislly young adults.

Everything is covered, treated realistically yet interestingly, and there is a good table of contents, lots of good photos, and a glossary.

The lack of an index is not a handicap since the contents are adequate for a search on the short 48 page booklet.

Perhaps best for third grader through middle school age but fine for any one not famuiliar with caves.
