Paul Watzlawick has written a number of genial psychology books based on the ideas of radical constructivism. While the second half of his life as a successful consultant and speaker is not very interesting, his youthful years were a roller coaster of threats and opportunities ranging from a close brush of being nearly executed for defeatism by the Nazis to becoming an interpreter for the British to studies in Italy and Switzerland as well as stays in India and San Salvador to gain fame and fortune in the United States.

This biography offers a good overview of his career and especially new information about his early years. It both profits and is limited by being written by a relative of the subject.… (mais)
