Katherine Kreider

Kreider's second book is much better than her first. It has over 400 photographs of cards from the late 1800's through the 20th century. It is arranged by type and theme. The price ranges given are much more realistic. A great resource for the serious collector and for the emphemera dealer.

This is Kreider's first book. It has some historical information about and photographs of earlier valentines, but the emphasis is on the turn of the century and 20th century valentines. Arranged by type, it has beautiful photography. The prices listed for each item cover too wide a range -- $5.00 to $100 for the same item -- do not make sense.
