Not a book you would want to sit down and read in one sitting, this is still an interesting read for someone interested in architecture. Nicely laid out in chronological order, this book lists 50 individual works, all presented with full color photographs covering at least two facing pages, but sometimes more. Sometimes the author focuses on the architect, sometime on the era, but each building is explained in terms of why it's important whether for design or construction. Probably more notable for buildings which are missing (no Empire State Building) it does cover a wide range and I learned a lot about architecture. A light read and highly recommended.… (mais)
