This book is a beautifully illustrated picture book for very young readers. It illustrates a young girl, Pepita, and her frustration with having to translate things for everyone. When Pepita loses her dog, Lobo, she is reminded of the benefits and joys of knowing two languages.

Pepita gets asked to do a lot as a bilingual child, and she gets tired of it. One day Pepita decides she wont speak Spanish anymore. After not speaking Spanish for a while, she realizes all the things she misses out on when she doesn't speak Spanish anymore. This story shows us just how amazing bilingual people are.
