About the Author

365 Sports Cars You Must Drive: Fast, Faster, Fastest is a wonderful collection of cars with enough information about each to understand why it is included. The title, well, horrible, we can't drive most of these, ever, so the title sets us up for disappointment. When I first saw the title I wondered how they were going to find 365 cars that a person could reasonably set out to drive that would be worth inclusion. But instead I found a collection of the most impressive sports cars, though absolutely not ones we MUST all drive, nonsense.

Any book that has its weakest element in the title is a great book. This volume goes for nice photographs and a bit of set up about many cars rather than going in depth but only about a few cars. Each approach has its appeal, and for this approach I think this book succeeds beyond what I even expected.

I obviously have an issue with the title but many of these cars can be driven and some have likely been driven by the reader. I don't remember how many I actually drove (including when friend's owned one or worked as a salesperson at a dealership) but I owned six of them and many readers will have the same experience. So many are reasonably able for the average person to drive.

Like any list, people will have issues with some that were included or left out. That is the fun of lists. But the justification for most of the head-scratchers in the book are given in the short description.

Highly recommended, this book is for fun, and dreaming of course. If you're not a big automobile enthusiast, such as myself, you will also likely see some cars you've never heard of. And 0-100 and back to a standstill in 10.88 sec?!?! Nuts!!
