Happy Endings was a second chance romance book that I enjoyed (with caveats). My absolute favorite thing in the book was the food. The descriptions were sooo good! And my tum growled as I felt I could taste them, that’s how well they were written.

Our two leads Trixie and Andre had had a relationship in New Orleans and now had a second chance to reconnect and have a HEA in DC. Both leads were okay but I will admit to not being totally in love with either of them due to the fact that I felt they lacked communication skills. I adored their extended community relationships though and I feel that this (and the food) were the true highlights of the book. I also like that Trixie’s job was not one of the usual romance jobs for female leads and that she was good at it.

Overall, this was an average romance book. I do look forward to more from author especially if it involves Keisha

Full Exposure by Thein-Kim Lamm is a breezy read but there is some unnecessaryprofanity and an overload of graphic sex. I feel that the author could write a better book without both.

The good stuff is that is in New Orleans during Madri Gras, learning about lesser known things about New Orleans and learning more about photography lighting and staging.I love the part about the food but there there there was too much sugar on the doughnuts! I loved the idea of the white sugar floating through the air but I am diabetic, I don't want to eat it.

The couple who met when she accidentally banging him on the head with heavy beads, have photography in common. He wants to do documentaries and she has her own still photography.

Another problem was their relationship. They needed more heart to heart and head to head talks.

Please author veer away from what you are used to doing. I needed more of the grandma in the story but I did not need her to speak jarring profanity You can be a great author remember less is more!

3.75/5 stars!

The heroine was doing a pop-up event at the restaurant owned by the hero and his sister. The two were lovers in the past but the hero broke up with the heroine when she needed him the most. After a conversation, the two began a partnership where the heroine can use the restaurant as a place for her pop-up events while giving the hero much-appreciated business. And the couple gives another chance at a relationship after a relevant conversation about their past.

This interracial romance is scorching with sexy times and great camaraderie. The heroine has a group of supportive friends and through her business, has become sexually confident with herself. The hero has a wonderful sister and a great best friend but I did want to shake him for most of the book. I enjoyed the dynamics during the sexy times and how the wonderful neighborhood community is a family to the hero. I also appreciate the recipes at the back of the book. Overall a great romantic story and looking forward to reading more Thien-Kim Lam books in the future.

**Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.**
