Mr Therm goes county: 160 famous county recipes por David Langdon
Mr Therm cartoon figure skips along with a lady on the front cover. On first page, reference is made to the Festival of Britain: 'My county explorations have re-discovered all these intriguing National British recipes, which I now present as my personal and practical contribution to Festival Year'.
It is said "A picture says a thousand words", and this is an excellent example of an art not often seen these days. The book contains a selection of cartoons published in 'Punch' which comment on life in Britain at the end of World War II. In doing so it gives a greater insight into the times that a whole volume of words would do.
