This is a phenomenal book! Harry hates carrots, even though he is a rabbit. However, he loves sweet grass tarts! But one day, Harry is told that he can not have a sweet grass tart until he cleans his plate. Harry eats everything on his plate, except for the big juicy carrot. As the meal goes on, Harry's carrot seems to grow bigger and bigger right before his eyes! Everyone at the table is finished with their meal except for Harry, and all of his brothers and sisters get to eat their sweet grass tarts. As Harry smells the tarts, and watches his siblings enjoy them, he becomes very angry. Suddenly Harry grabs his carrot and takes a huge bite out of it! As he chews the carrot, he realizes that carrots are actually very delicious! Harry finishes his carrot, and is able to have the very last tart. This is a great book to read to picky eaters! It will help children understand that you have to try something before you decide that you don't like it.… (mais)
