Ugh, definitely not here for this book being all about Piotr and him convincing Kitty to go out with him again. No one cares, and that relationship sucked every other time too, so, you know, let's not.
Enjoyable but ultimately easily forgettable.
The Secret Empire crossover issues needed no knowledge of SE (thankfully, because I've not read it). A mutant killer is loose in the mansion and several of the younger students are killed. No explanation as to how the villian got his skills or armour but Kitty kicks arse. The artwork is great in these two issues.
Then it's off to DC for Kitty to speak at the Mutant Deportation subcommittee. And we have two contrasting relationships developing: Kitty and Piotr, and, Kurt and Rachel. Neither of these relationships rang true to me.
Artwise I liked Piotr but Kurt had too many variations, some panels he looked like a late teenager, in others older and more 'traditional' nightcrawler.
Then it was off to Russia to deal with Omega Red.
And the final issue initially felt like filler but was actually a well written backstory for one of the villians who appeared in vol 1.
The connecting thread in this issue was Piotr (And I suppose Kitty, and their developing relationship) and as a fan of his that made more enjoyable than it might have been.… (mais)

Not planning on continuing with the series. May read a TPB if one comes out and is available at the library, but it just wasn't good enough to keep me going. It's possible I'm not giving it enough of a chance, but it's an expensive proposition to keep up with a comic just in case it finally becomes something I love.
I didn't care that much for this series. I don't think I'll pursue it. I am a little bit interested in what happens to the characters, but not enough to spend money on this each month.
