To be lost on me that I write the review on a book about a hockey player precisely 40 years to the day of the great "Miracle on Ice" would be an understatement.
Fire on Ice is the autobiographical narrative of NHL hockey player Eric Lindros. Through the pages, Lindros gives the emotional detail of his family history and stories. At the same time, he shares the private decision of how he decided not to play for the Quebec Nordiques, the teams that drafted him. And why instead played for the Philidelphia Flyers, the team he eventually traded to in 1992. For a true hockey fan, Lindros will express the love of the game and how, through hard work and discipline, he made it to the NHL, and I feel it gives the fan a better understanding of how he became who he became.
The book isn't for all since, of course, it is about hockey, but any fan of the game, not only a Flyers fan will appreciate the dedication Lindros shows in all aspects of his personal and professional life.
