Ronnie D. Lipschutz

I picked up Ronnie D. Lipschutz' The Constitution of Imperium initially in an attempt to add the seemingly nuanced word imperium to my vocabulary (as opposed to imperial or empire). This is a fascinating addition to my library and a good read for anyone interested in globalization, empire, citizenship and international law. We've heard a lot about mufti-national corporations with the implication they owe no nation allegiance.
Lipschutz writes about a subject most commentators keep further than arm's length. Hence, there is little discussion and general ignorance around this topic. What happens when other non-national organizations under the guise of national interest develop? How does it happen? Who benefits? Who forfeits?… (mais)
