S.H. Livernois lives in the sparsely populated stretch of New York between the Adirondack Mountains and Canadian border; the Livernois family has lived in this region since the Civil War. She makes her home in the tiny town of Moira, with her husband and beagle, Maggie.

With the exception of a three-year stint as a secretary, she’s spent most of her life writing. She worked as a reporter at the local paper for five years and has written professionally since 2013. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, drawing, taking pictures, tearing her ATV through the woods, or watching far too much TV.

A good zombie novel, The Human Wilderness makes one wonder just what they would be like if suddenly dropped into an apocalypse, forced to survive. Can you escape your past? When society crumbles, and you've banded together, can you ever again truly trust outsiders? How much blood are you willing to spill to protect yourself and your loved ones? Like Eli, will you be haunted by the things you do to survive?

This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways.
A solid start to a dystopian trilogy that was very well written with an excellent storyline. Contains zombie characters, but they are not overdone. Eli and Jane are well developed main characters, but flawed individuals who always have our sympathy for what they are forced to do. The story pulls the reader in, and keeps you on the edge of your seat with plenty of twists and turns. Would definitely recommend this book to individuals who enjoy this type of story. I will definitely be reading the next book in this trilogy when it comes out.… (mais)

What???
I totally missed the end!! All of a sudden, there where no more pages....???
I agree with most people here, it was well written, but way too short! If you're gonna read it, make sure you don't blink cause you might miss it!
I still recomend you give it a try.
