This book walks through a group of kids making a garden, and like plants in the garden, they are all different. This book positively highlights disability and would be a great read-out-loud to discuss how everyone is unique. If not a read-out-loud, this book would be an awesome addition to a K-3 classroom.

This book talks through a bunch of individuals life styles and their disabilities. It talks through how they go about their life style and how their disability affects them. I think this book is great for 1-3rd graders. It can help encourage the kids in understanding that there are differences in people and how everyone has their own unique lifestyle.

This book shares how different types of disabilities affect different people. It is an asset-based book that forges connections with students who might not be able to relate to each student. It was an empowering book that showed students it's okay to ask about people's experiences, but it's also about embracing our differences to be a better "garden" or society. Very cute.
I would absolutely use this book in my Kindergarten-2nd or 3rd grade classroom to talk about strengths and understanding others, and I would have this in my classroom library as well.… (mais)
