This is a great text for those beyond the introductory stage in sociological methods who want to learn more about qualitative methods. This isn't the book for those who want a brief overview of a variety of qualitative methods, but is helpful for those planning ethnographic research looking for a book that raises issues to think about while planning and conducting fieldwork and analyzing qualitative data.
