I quite enjoyed this fast paced psychological mystery, the plot rattles along and it’s intriguing. However, I did find it a little repetitive at times and lacking a certain depth - I thought it was missing a sense of place and the characters seemed pretty one dimensional. It kept my attention throughout, nevertheless, as I wanted to know how it all concluded, although I guessed the twist quite early on. Love Me Tender Is an action packed thriller with plenty of twists and turns to keep the reader on the edge of their seats. Especially with the mind games the killer plays! You know who the killer is right away right and the story is split between Paolo and the killer. So you get to hear the thoughts and voices in the killer's head. But that just adds to the suspense and the creepiness. Some of the characters are likeable and some aren't but they are all well done. It's a well written fast paced story that's both tense and chilling! Thank you Random Things Tours and Lorraine Mace for sharing this book with me!

My copy of this book was re-branded Say Your Prayers. The story is told through the eyes of DI Paolo Stirling our hero and the unknown religious fanatic serial killer. Excellent characterisation throughout, a well written engaging Police procedural fast paced and thrilling with several clever twists and sub plots. Our heroes investigation is not helped by seemingly every other character being an old school classmate, and an unhappy home life. Do all Police Officers in books have to have problems.
WARNING there are some disturbing graphic gruesome scenes of violence.
