Before We Was We: Madness by Madness por Mike Barson
I had two books about Madness on my wishlist and this came up cheapest - possibly should have read the general biography (House of Fun first! From not knowing how many members are in the band, apart from Suggs, and only being able to name the standard radio hits if pushed, I now have a better understanding of the band's origins (north London wide boys who went from sneaking into cinemas and tagging railway bridges to playing alongside The Specials and The Selecter in the late 70s/early 80s). It's great that they're still going, but I'm pissed that I missed this incredible era of music!… (mais)
