Welcome to the world 0f Speranza - a network of women who help other women, right wrongs and get things done that really matter.

Sophie Williams, an artist, but also one who could copy an original so that only the real artist would know for sure. This career was not about the money, but rather righting the wrongs in the world of paintings. But would her quick fingers be able to keep her safe, when so many wanted the painting she was tasked with finding?

I believe in God, even when He is silent. With plenty of danger, intrigue and a royal mystery you will not set this book down. Abductions, castles and more - is she really on the right side? I loved this story and hope that the author continues to bring us further into the work of Speranza!

An early copy was received through Tyndale and NetGalley. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

*Speranza = Hope*
Sophie Williams is on a dangerous search for a missing painting that was gifted to her friend Lise who has also disappeared. What mysteries does the decades old royal portrait hold? Sophie, an expert art forger, embarks on a seemingly wild goose chase from Germany to Italy for amswers. She is pursued by an art recovery agent Mac McKenzie and others. Just how many are anxious to find this painting and for what purpose?
Spectacular suspense and excitement are non-stop as Sophie encounters a troupe of women called Speranza, a secret group who champions women in need. More action than a James Bond film and reminiscent of a heist movie, this excellently plotted book has a spiritual lesson included. “I believe in God, even when He is silent.”
This first in a series hints at more adventures for Sophie, Mac and the gang and some room for characters to grow in their faith,
I am extremely eager for follow-up books.

A story that has so much going for it, we start out with returning a painting, but keep on building to a coronation, and along the way there are women being stolen, but why? Answers come, but what a journey you embark on once you turn the first page.

There is a group of people that are committed to helping, and they go above and beyond, while others are up to evil. Yes, this is a good vs evil read, and you will be page turning for answers, along with whom will survive.

This read is Christian Suspense at it's best!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Tyndale, and was not required to give a positive review.

An exciting, fast-paced, suspenseful mystery! Friendship, family ties, and faith inspired action fill the pages of this thrilling story. It has the feel of a spy novel with the covert disguises, world travel, art theft and dangerous criminals chasing a band of women bent on righting wrongs.

The writing is well done, full of colorful characters, some with questionable motives. It kept me reading late into the night as the action picks up later and the pieces come together. A quick back and forth between scenes required some extra focus, but it worked well as the danger escalated and lives were at stake.

"...I believe in God even when He is silent."
The theme of protecting vulnerable women and children from human traffickers is sadly a realistic struggle across the globe. I loved the depth of devotion Sophie shows to find her missing friend. She learns to trust others to help her out, and turn back to her faith. A little romantic interest added a sliver of danger in spots, but wasn't the focus.
Recommend! 4.5 stars
