Had been thinking for a while about tapping our maple trees - then I saw this book posted on Soulemama's blog. The thought of being able to produce just a small amount of syrup on the cheap was appealing. The book is a quick read with great ideas and photos illustrating a variety of options. The writing style makes for a simple and easy read - as though you are chatting over the fence with a knowledgeable neighbor.

I think with a year to prepare we may give this a try.
