This book is good because it allows children to examine a real world problem and gives them solutions. Students can examine which ways they already save water and where there is room for approval. You can have the students pick which way they like the best and create a persuasive poster convincing their peers and other staff to participate in saving water. I think it's important to introduce guided reading books that introduce relevant topics instead of just random facts. This book also provides picture contexts making it a good book to use with your ELL students.… (mais)
