Presley’s relationship with her mother’s young sister, Betsi, could be better described as “friend” than as “aunt”. The fourteen-yearold
had always admired Betsi as the “girl she wanted to be” and eagerly accepts her advice on everything from clothes to
boyfriends. However, Betsi has substance abuse problems and this warrants her to live with Presley’s family until she can
straighten-out her life. Presley gradually begins to loose her veneration for Betsi as she sees her flaws and learns of a disturbing
secret which Betsi hides from the family. This is a poignant story of an adolescent girl who learns to believe in who she is and to
