Dave McIntosh (1921–1995)

This volume is a collection of quotes and notes from the official and unofficial squadron diaries of No.1 (401) Fighter Squadron, RCAF. Initially designated No.1 by the RAF, this all Canadian squadron was renamed 401 when the RAF decided that to avoid confusion, they would rename Canadian squadrons in the 400's.

While the entries are from official diaries, they contain a surprising amount of off the cuff comments, many humourous and sarcastic. Although the entries are brief and succinct, they make surprising interesting reading.
