Dave Meslin

Dave Meslin is a political activist. In this book, he offers ideas for how to fix our democracy, which he describes as a "train wreck". Voters are apathetic, legislatures are toxic, power is highly centralized, too many voices are marginalized -- all of which contributes to a growing sense of cynicism and powerlessness.

Mr. Meslin argues that it doesn't have to be like this. We can fix our democracy in ways both big and small, which he details in this book. I didn't always agree with his solutions (one might even be illegal??), but I always agreed with his definition of the problem. His analysis is clear, principled and well presented.
