The 17th Water Conservation and Xeriscape Conference theme “Collaborations for New Solutions” is the thread weaving together new ideas and practical strategies in the interrelated fields of landscape, architecture, agriculture and ecology for more sustainable and vital living and working spaces.
Steven Kress, Dave Gutzler, Daniel Wallach, Catherine Hart, Danielle Pieranunzi, Karlis Viceps, Kathleen Wolf, William deBuys, Judy Mielke, Miguel Santistevan, Nate Downey, and Nan Sterman will be speaking at this event. Complete speaker information at www.xeriscapenm.com
As always the conference will wrap up with an artist. This year chef Clay Chapman of Omaha’s Grey Plume, awarded the title of America’s greenest restaurant, will take the final step from field to fork. Friday evening in an independent dinner event hosted by Los Poblanos Inn ( http:/www.lospoblanos.com/events-calendar/ ), Chef Jonathan Perno will team up with Chef Clay Chapman to prepare a meal fit for the water wise. We invite you to experience the warmth and charm of Los Poblanos Inn, and thank the team there for their collaboration for slow and succulent solutions to winter dining. Water flows through every part of all our lives. Cooperating is how we use water best to sustain and uplift the community. It’s an equal opportunity endeavor. Registration information and information on special conference hotel rates available for attendees staying at the Crowne Plaza is on our website. http://www.xeriscapenm.com
