I had some problems with this book. First of all, I really didn't like the heroine, Victoria, it seemed to me that she hated the werewolves without any reason, just because, and it was quite awful. I truly hated the stalker trope, plus I guessed who the stalker was the moment we met him. But I liked the hero, so finally three and a half stars. I may continue with this series.

Modified: After a reread - only three stars. Victoria was even worse than before.

I could sit and tell you all the things I loved about this book or you could just go out and get it tomorrow. I was supposed to read this back in July but life got in the way but this is for sure a new author to love for me. This is such a fun read for me. Some people have trouble finding a place to live in San Francisco. Others can walk into the most prestigious gated community and buy a multi-million-dollar house. Presidio Terrace is home to some of the biggest names in the city, like news anchor Erin King and her husband Mason, a plastic surgeon, or the infamous Georgia St. Claire, also known as The Black Widow. And now, it’s also home to mystery novelist Brooke Davies and her tech billionaire husband Jack.
These women in this story are amazing. I felt like I was reading a cross between Desperate House Wives and Devious Maids which I loved. You will find that in this story you will love and hate all these women at least once before the story is over and it will be great.
Brooke is happy with Jack, and she is looking forward to making friends in their new neighborhood. With Jack working so much, she does get lonely. And to be honest, she’s struggling with her second novel. She could use some inspiration to breathe new life into these characters so she can send it off to her publisher.

Georgia has been married twice already. After a little over a year with her first husband when he tumbled down the marble staircase. He didn’t make it. Then her second husband shot himself in his office. There have been rumors that it was Georgia who killed them, but she has always claimed her innocence, and there have been no arrests in their deaths. Now, she is getting ready to marry again, another wealthy man, and she claims that she genuinely loves Robert. She does everything she can to put the “Black Widow” rumors to rest because she wants to finally find her happily ever after.

But when Robert goes missing after a pre-wedding party on his yacht, Georgia doesn’t know where to turn for help. She calls the police to report him missing, but they won’t take an official report until he’s been missing for 24 hours. As the hours go by with Robert still missing, the women’s secrets start coming out and Brooke learns that all those rumors don’t even start to compare to the truth of Presidio Terrace.

Buckle up for a fun ride because I promise how you think the story will end is very far from how the story ends. Well done. Thank you to all involved in my being selected for this arc I love that I found a new author to love.

This was a super fun fast paced thriller that made me keep flipping pages. If you love the Housewives then you will love this book. Told from 3 POVs, Brooke, Erin and Georgia.
Brooke just moved in to the secluded neighborhood and was warned about the “black widow” Georgia. Georgia’s prior two husbands were killed due to questionable suicides. Georgia is now engaged to another man and they are having an engagement party on a yacht. Her fiancée comes up missing. Has the black widow returned?

This kept me guessing and I was shocked at the end on certain things. Must read!
