This is a great story for the very young child. It is on love, animal adoption and praising attributes of various children. Most children desire a pet at one time or more in their lives.
The illustrations are well done. They are colorful in a more subtle and peaceful way.

This is a very worthwhile cause.

Charlie is a small dog left at the door of a shelter. He is taken in and Marty, the shelter owner, vows to find the right person for Charlie. One day children come to find a dog and Charlie learns what each child can give him. Which one will love Charlie forever?

I enjoyed this story. I liked that the names of the characters were important. I wish the author would have provided a brief synopsis of the people with those names with the list of those names. I knew about half of them. I also loved the diversity of the characters. The illustrations were wonderful. I liked her acknowledgements. I wish the bible verse referenced at the end would have been included. Now I need to do a little research. This is a wonderful book for your 2-5 year old.… (mais)
