Margaree King Mitchell

This book would be good for intermediate ages. This book is about a man whose dream is to open up his own barbershop, but between helping his sick niece and the onset of The Great Depression, his dream is delayed until late in his life, but he still achieves it. I really like the historical aspect of this book, but also the importance of family that is emphasized. The only problematic aspect is the depth and complexity of the historical aspect and this is why it would be better for intermediate age readers.… (mais)
