This is a cute book about a little girl who is given the responsibility of watching her dog by herself for the first time. There are many trials and tribulations, all of which would be familiar and fun for a young child to read. The pages are bright and colorful with vibrant backgrounds and simple text. It's a great format for early readers.

Young children who are just starting to understand responsibility will relate to Isabella's adventures, frustrations, and eventually her feeling of pride in a job well done.
