4124 Calmly To Poise the Scales of Justice A History of the Courts of the District of Columbia Circuit, by Jeffrey Brandon Morris with the assistance of Chris Rohmann (read 1 Feb 2006) This book, published in 2001, tells the history of the Federal courts in the District of Columbia. When I was in law school I spent a lot of time as a spectator in those courts and came to know of the judges active at that time. It was fun to read about them, and of course the DC courts make the most news and have the most "big" cases, e.g., the Pentagon Papers case and the Watergate cases, so this book I found of high interest.… (mais)
