I have a right to speak of this book because in my retirement I, a would-be math major long ago who strayed into other very non-mathematical fields (French literature)), worked through the entire book, and believe it or not worked every problem in it. I can't speak highly enough for the care, intelligence, and value of this textbook, which I would recommend to anyone desiring to get a good handle on these subjects. I loved this book and feel very grateful to the authors! I particularly like how the pages are laid out and the intelligent design of the problem sets.… (mais)
