SYNOPSIS -
At the age of 22, Cadence, a widow, is caring for three younger sisters. Shortly after the death of her father, she is told that her brother Edwin is dead. He would have been the successor to the Ashcroft estate. Instead, the estate is passed on to her estranged Uncle, Marcus Ashcroft. Cadence is sure that Edwin is alive and that his disappearance has something to do with the mysterious Midnight Club. Obsessed with finding her brother, Cadence enlists the assistance of Blake Morris, Duke of Remington. Understanding the dangers surrounding the Midnight Club, Remington becomes protective of Cadence which leads to a desire to have her as “his”. One problem. Cadence’s deceased husband was controlling and she will not be controlled by any man even when his intentions are honorable.
