"Sahib's India" is a wonderful book with vignettes of British life during the British Raj. I want to clarify that the book contains vignettes of British life, not the lives of Indians during the Raj. Not much has been written about the lives of Indians under British rule, and this topic could be the subject of a book.
There is much about British life during the Raj that is known and much that is myth. However, Pran Neville's book does much to bring this to life.
The book tells of a bygone era and it is difficult to imagine this was India just over a century ago… (mais)
