Kelbian Noel

Elemental by Kelbian Noel is a YA paranormal with romantic elements. Baltimore Land is your ordinary girl next door teenager. I could definitely identify with the teenager when I read the blurb. Sometimes our parents beliefs are not always our own, and this was the case with seventeen year old Baltimore. The action starts when Baltimore’s boyfriend’s ex decides that she wants to get back into his life. It’s when she discovers that sometimes you can’t deny your roots.

I loved the three dimensional character that Ms. Noel created in Baltimore. She was not only strong but stood up for what she believed in, or in this case, what she did not believe in. The suspense really started to pick up when Baltimore casts a spell that ends in serious consequences. There was an unexpected twist in the story right when I thought I knew how things would turn out.

I must say that Ms. Noel pulled all the pieces of the puzzle together quite nicely in revealing how Baltimore and her powers were an integral part in the story. I would highly recommend this story to YA and YA crossover fans out there.… (mais)
