A New Detective Agency Sizzling Character Chemistry = A Fun New Mystery Series!

Also included was a terrific Bonus – “The Jewel Thief” – A Knight & Steele Short Story which is the prequel short story about “how it all began” – the initial introduction of Victoria Steele and Mr. Handsome himself, Ethan Knight, for the development of the Knight and Steele Detective Agency and not to be left out –Donut Guy, Mr. Lou Stepkowski, and his favorite donuts from Don's Donuts.

I think I was smiling the entire time I read “The Swindle” immediately followed by more smiles while reading “The Jewel Thief.”

What a great discovery for any mystery reader who loves the beginning novels of Janet Evanovich's series featuring Stephanie Plum, an inexperienced bounty hunter and Mr. Handsome himself, Joe Morelli, vice cop and Stephanie's on again / off again lover and not to be left out – who can always be counted on to be ready for the next donut pickup run and an aspiring bounty hunter herself – dear Lula. Knight and Steele aren't lovers yet but certainly not because Ethan isn't trying and trying hard. And Jeremy Cooper might be to Victoria what Ranger is to Stephanie Plum. Readers of the series need no further explanation.

The flirtations in-between solving cases provide fun dialogue to read and allow the reader's imagination to run wild about the future adventures that may develop between Victoria and Ethan “in” and “out” of office hours and to wonder about the speed of this growing relationship in future novels in the series. There's some TV Trivia, some Star Trek collectibles and memorabilia trivia, and there's also a possibility that the reader might develop a strong desire to eat a donut or nibble on some Godiva Chocolates while reading this series. In other words, if you want a quick read, a fun read, and a read that is an introduction to a series likely to become addictive in more ways than one, add this to your book wish list now!

This novella is the introduction to a new series, Knight & Steele. Victoria Steele is a former Special Agent for the FBI who left there to work for a private security company. While on a job, she meets up with Ethan Knight and when needing a car to chase a jewel thief, he says they can use his but he will drive. After causing extensive damage to property, Victoria is fired. Ethan, who just happens to be rich and loved the adventure with Victoria, uses his family money to open his own agency and offers her a partnership. If the rest of the books are as much fun as this one and as fast moving, they will be a hit. If you enjoy Janet Evanovich books, you will enjoy this one.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
