I really liked the attention paid to the historical setting. A lot of historical romances are more romance than history, not getting into accurate detail of the era. This one felt more balanced.

The romance, however, wasn't my thing. I am not a fan of explicit content, and as such a lot of their romantic scenes didn't have the depth I would have liked. They fell in love too quickly, so I never got truly invested in all their subsequent quarrels.

DNF, at 58%. It's probably good, I just can't with the drawn-out class-disparity angst any more.

DNF @ 38%. There was no chemistry between the leads and the language was a little flowery for me, even with the fae element. It might have been more interesting if set in a more modern time but the two worlds (late 1700s/early 1800's vs. Faerie) aren't that different to me here. I just couldn't get engaged with the characters or the plot.
