Suho and the White Horse is a story about a poor Mongolian boy who finds a horse on the plains. This horse becomes Suho's pride and joy and they become great friends. One day Suho takes the horse to race for the emperor. Suho wins the race but his horse is taken from him and he is beaten. The horse breaks free and makes his way back to Suho but he is severely injured. The horse dies and with his body Suho makes an instrument that plays beautiful music for all to hear. This story shows the beauty of music and the great bond of friendship.… (mais)

I love this story. It is about a boy who finds a white young horse. They became inseperable. They enter a race to win the hand of the governor's daughter, and when the governor discovers that a poor man won the race he only takes the horse from him.
I remember how I had a dog who we had to tie up everyday, because she would follow me to school. One day I had to get rid of her because we moved. She ran away from her new owners to find me. She found me thirty miles away.
This could be used to teach loyalty, and friendship.
It could also be used to teach about bullying.
