Defiance takes this series up a notch. I thought the second book was better than the first. I am eagerly awaiting Obsession. This is a great series with more focus on action than the blood-drinking ... which is definitely a positive for me as that is the one part of vampire books I struggle with.
There are new elements introduced into this story that you don't see coming and even I am ready to kill Ravana at this point!

This is a great start to a series. It is tight and well-written. It is a bit of a slow-burn Reverse Harem, but still delivers on the hot sex.
I cannot wait to read the sequel, Defiance, out next month.

Loved it
I love this quick read by Mysti Parker. Its a short story, the kind you can get through waiting for a Doctor's appointment. Then again, if you're like me it will be while you're waiting for a massage. I need to find my own Sophie, minus the Very happy ending.

Yeah, this book is a nope from me. While there were parts that I did enjoy. For the most part, I didn't have any interest in reading this. The cover and description drew me in, but unfortunately, it didn't turn out like I thought it would. I found Wren to be extremely unlikeable, and even with the whole mystical reason, the insta-love made the book fall flat for me.
I did like the vampire thing, and the hidden princess thing they had going. There were parts in the book that I was able to get lost in and enjoyed, but there were just too many things that bothered me, making it impossible for me to rate this book any higher. I have realized though that I need to stay away from all harem and reverse-harem books. They are just not for me at all.
How I choose my rating:
1* Hated it. I had to force myself to finish it.
2** Didn't like it. I didn't hate it but not sure why I finished it other than for some closure.
3*** I liked it. I had some issues with it, but as a whole it was good. I probably won't reread ever, but there is a chance I might finish the series. (If part of one) But if not it's not a huge loss.
4**** I really liked this book. Maybe not a work of genius, but highly entertaining. I might reread this, and I will finish the series. (If part of one) I would recommend to those I know hold interest in this book's content.
5***** I loved this book. I found little to no issues with it at all. I will be rereading this and probably more than once. I will finish the series and reread it multiple times. (If part of one) I will recommend this book to EVERYONE!!!!… (mais)
