This is a terrific story about a very interesting bird, a peregrine falcon named Fedget. The book is about a young falcon that is in captivity and learns to fly for the first time. I think this story would be a great introduction to the physics of flight. I really enjoyed this book because peregrine falcons are a big deal in our family and my children talk about them all the time. If anyone in our family mentions how fast something is the first comment is always "it is not as fast as a peregrine falcon".… (mais)
